Landlording 102 covers many scenarios that can trip up anyone, from new to seasoned landlords. Join Real Estate Attorney Christopher L. Tackett-Nelson as he addresses recent changes in landlord-tenant law, new notice and pleading problems, landlord obligations, tenant protections, and so much more.

Christopher L. Tackett-Nelson obtained his double major Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and History from Portland State University, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence and Certificate in Sustainable Environmental, Energy & Resources Law from Willamette University College of Law. Mr. Tackett-Nelson primarily represents clients on real estate and land use matters, with an emphasis on landlord-tenant law, and also assists clients with contract and tort claims.
Prior to joining Warren Allen LLP, Mr. Tackett-Nelson gained a wealth of experience in a variety of legal areas while clerking for the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals, Reeve Kearns PC, the Clackamas County Counsel, and the Port of Portland.
In his spare time, Mr. Tackett-Nelson enjoys gardening, fishing, paddle sports, and snowboarding. He is also an active author for the Oregon State Bar Real Estate & Land Use Digest.

All educational classes/seminars are open to members in good standing and the general public. A member in good standing may register and pay for an invited guest at the member rate for the educational class. General public must pay at the time of registration and at the non-member rate. Deadline for refund/credit or cancellation of registration is up until 48 hours prior to the date and time of the class/seminar, up until 48 hours prior you will be refunded 100% of the cost to attend. No refunds granted if canceling within the 48 hour period prior to the class. If a registered guest/member does not cancel and/or does not show to the scheduled class/seminar then the registered guest/member will be required to pay the full amount of the class/seminar. All registrations are non-transferable. Currently some classes are in Zoom meeting format. RHA Oregon is not responsible for attendee’s inability to log into Zoom meeting.
